This particularly beautiful and rare Sphagnum comes from Peru (we obtained it a few years ago from San Martín) and varies in color from green / red speckled to purple, brown-red to very dark red / almost black sometimes, depending on the location. They are small to medium plants, very soft in structure and very compact in growth. Very good to combine with e.g. carnivorous plant species.
The plants we grow from (clones) have different properties, including; color, growth, origin.
Determined under the microscope.
