Hygrohypnum luridum

Drab Brook-moss grows mainly along the waterfront just above the waterline on stone or wood with a small layer of substrate, where it remains moist due to splashing water and / or water that creeps upwards (capillary). It is a beautiful deep green colored feather moss(hypnales) that forms flat, dense mats; very usable along waterfalls, streams in the garden, and we have discovered that it is also usable in (mini) terrariums / vivaria where there is high humidity.
